The E102 bus connects the Mussafah Shabiya area to Ibn Battuta Mall, offering several stops along the way for those located outside central Abu Dhabi. Meanwhile, the Abu Dhabi Airport Express operates directly from the airport, providing a faster, non-stop option. Travelers can choose based on their proximity to the starting points and preference.
I opted for the Airport Express bus, which took about 1.5 hours and cost AED 35 (approximately $10 USD). Affordable and efficient!
Upon arriving at the Ibn Battuta bus station, you’ll find yourself adjacent to the Dubai Metro. This urban rail system is your gateway to Dubai’s top attractions, including the iconic Dubai Mall. Dubai Fountain Show: Best Viewing Spots and Timings
The Dubai Fountain, the world’s largest choreographed fountain system, is a can’t-miss experience. Located adjacent to the Burj Khalifa, this mesmerizing show combines water, light, and music to create a captivating spectacle.

- Daily from 6 PM to 11 PM, every 30 minutes.
- Afternoon shows at 1 PM and 1:30 PM (1:30 PM and 2 PM on Fridays)
- Each performance lasts approximately five minutes.
While there are numerous viewing spots around the fountain, one of the best free locations is the Nike Store inside Dubai Mall. From here, you can enjoy a clear and unobstructed view of the entire fountain without the crowds or fees associated with restaurant terraces. However, keep in mind that you won’t hear the accompanying music as well from this vantage point.
For a closer and more immersive experience, head to the promenade outside the mall. Watching the fountains illuminated against the night sky is truly magical, so try to schedule your visit after dark for the best effect.
